"My name is Elena Vlad, and I’m a faculty member at the College of Westchester as well as an accounting professional. I instruct on all areas of accountancy and bookkeeping, including financial accounting, cost accounting, financial statements analysis, practical application in accounting, and ethics and professional responsibility in accounting, to name a few areas of specialization. I gained extensive accounting and taxation experience working at a leading CPA firm in White Plains, New York, and I currently am the sole proprietor of an accounting, bookkeeping, and taxation firm in Buffalo New York as well as a Property Accountant at Belmont Housing Resources (Buffalo, New York) and a volunteer tax advisor with VITA (IRS). I hold the following degrees and certifications: Bachelor of Business Administration (concentration in Accounting) from The College of Westchester, Master’s Degree and Certificate in International Business from the Hagan School of Business Iona College.
